So this was a new one for everyone in the boat. While we were out shooting for the caddis feature in the “Scratch and Sniff” Issue, we happened upon this poor soul at the end of our line. How something like this even happens is well beyond my capabilities of high-level reasoning. No matter how it happened, the lesson here is stop throwing shit into the river, and if you see someone throwing shit in the river, please tell them to stop in any way you feel appropriate. This guy swam away with an open wound which we hope heals before he gets picked off by a striper this summer.
